This apartment in Miami Beach was on the cover of Metropolitan Home. It was one of the first times that I experimented with bright colors, one per room, all selected from Fiestaware ceramics. Being in Miami the sun is bright and colors look the part. White was used as an accent and to define shapes. This 6,000 square foot house with eight guest rooms was used for entertaining all year around, therefore the use of whites for upholstery and draperies was a practical decision since all these materials could be washed. This house marked a turning point in my career, moving my projects from here on into more conceptual solutions.
